How To Dress for a Date

First impressions count right? So it's important to make sure you look well dressed, glamorous, and sophisticated, but still look like you love to have fun! It's easier than you think, dressing well requires just a few simple rules.

Miss Selfridge dress

The little black dress will never go out of style. It's chic, and it never looks over or under dressed. A full skirt and a fitted bodice will flatter your shape but still look demure and sophisticated. Plus, full skirts are great for dancing in, and if you have to walk anywhere or do anything more strenuous than have dinner, you have plenty of space to move about in. LBD's can be dressed up or down, so whether you pair it with converse and bright tights, or glammed up heels, you'll always look impressive to your date.

Blazer

If you're not the sort to wear a dress, or if you need a warm jacket to cover your dress, then a bright tailored jacket will do the trick. You can wear it with dark denim jeans, or for a high fashion look add some black tailored pants in a cigarette style so you can mimic Chanel, just with a bit more colour.

If you're going to wear heels, make sure they're like these. Comfort is key on a date, last thing you want is to be hobbling around. A good high heel for comfort will have a thick heel, so you're not wobbling about and you have plenty of support. A good platform will make the incline on your feet smaller, meaning a six inch heel can be as comfortable as a 4 inch heel. Plenty of straps will support the front of your foot too!

Men should look for dark, sharp suits for first impressions, and if you want to add some colour, you could contrast a black suit with a red shirt, or simply add a bright tie and handkerchief in your top pocket. You can also add some colour with your shoes. High street stores sell smart shoes in bright bold suede, or you could opt for some monochrome brogues with unique patterns and piping.

The Best Romantic Meals to Impress Your Date

They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, and to be honest, the way to many a girl's heart is a man that can cook. So, if you're lacking in funds and you still want to impress your date, nothing says romance more than a dinner date for two. Add candles, and a good wine to these ideas, and you're bound to impress.

Cupcakes are the sort of food people dream about, and once you've mastered how to make one, changing the flavours, texture, size and shape become a doddle. You can show off your creativity! Plus this is an easy to eat, and not so messy dessert that all types of people will enjoy, no matter how fussy your date is.

2.

Red velvet cheesecake brownies. They sound complex, and make you look like a masterful cook. You'll ear a lot of points on your date if you can produce these; just like a regular brownie, but the colour of love and topped with sweet strawberry cheesecake for extra decadence!

Chocolate glorious chocolate. Need I say more? The way to almost anyone's heart is chocolate, and if it's not, then they're not worth dating. Fondue, cakes, cheesecake, melt in the middle cakes, how could you go wrong if chocolate is involved?
